The award rating for the 8th China International Lighting Design Competition in 2019 organized by China Lighting Association and Zhongshan Guzhen People's Government was completed at Guzhen Town in Oct. 23~23. China Lighting Association formed an evaluation group consisting of 7 experts invited from universities, testing institutions, intellectual property protection institutions and other related industries: Prof. Zhang Haiwen from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts as the group leader, Liu Shengping, the Executive Director of China Lighting Association as the vice leader, Associate Professor Tang Lintao from Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, Associate Professor Yu Fan from Department of Industrial Design, Jiangnan University, Associate Professor Liu Yang from School of Art Design, Beijing University of Technology, Chen Yingao from CQC Standard (Shanghai) Testing Technology Co., Ltd and Lin Huizhen from Zhongshan (Lighting) Intellectual Property Rapid Rights Protection Center.
A total of 533 related works from enterprises and institutions were collected in this Competition, including 235 physical works and 298 creative works. After scientific and rigorous discussion and evaluation around the requirements of novel creativity, scientific design, advanced technology and exquisite craftsmanship, the evaluation experts finally selected 40 award-winning works, including 30 physical works and 10 creative works.
